They explain how productivity fluctuates. A blue graph shows steady effort, while a pink line spikes wildly. They say, “For me, it fluctuates more extremely.” Sitting exhausted at a messy desk, they admit, “I only stop when I’m too tired to go on. The word I learned for all this was ‘lazy.’ I never learned a healthy measure or how to trust myself.”

In the Firmament district of Ishgard there stands the Angel's Nest orphanage and primary school, named for the legendary Warrior who once looked after its young feathers in her waning years.

Despite its construction in the late 1570s it's been honored among the historical landmarks of the city.

i had it the opposite for a while, that my employer was the only one to *not* call me by my pseudonym

after some years of that i gave up and bit the bullet on just getting it changed to marina cause hell with it might as well say that on my cards

mine was a story of resilience held up as an example to the incoming kids each semester, that if i could manage to pay attention each day then surely they would have no excuse

i have much more than a closet now, but nine years and two names later those scars are still there haunting the margins

by grace of my angels i was only homeless for two months, during which time i filed for and corrected my name and gender, and despite getting dressed in a closet i was on time to all my classes

if not for that extreme stress giving one course a final grade of B+, i would have graduated with a 4.0

i may have only been here a few months, staring at my rent, seeing how the arterial carves a gulf in my neighborhood, and glib "don't upzone us out of business" signs from perfectly healthy businesses

but they aren't even upzoning my block and i know this is an unalloyed good

Marina as a story character does not enjoy pushing herself to and past her limits. She's not here to slake bloodlust or keep escalating the stakes until she's punching the despair of the universe incarnate in the face.

She just wants to protect her family so that they won't abandon her.

I get that some percentage of the player base is fully onboard with his read that WoL is motivated by the raw gameplay, that WoL is an endgame raider like him just in it for the challenge.

But he's wrong. Profoundly wrong. Dangerously wrong.

#wolqotd Has there ever been a stand out moment in game where there was something said/assumption made to your wol/oc that is fitting to the base the wol should be that was just laughably wrong? Not just “they wouldn’t say that” but “you would NEVER say that about them”

(A Doylist note, it's easier to pose just two actors compared to a crowd, so most of their documented moments of affection are the two of them alone. But rest assured, Alisaie steals a kiss at every opportune moment, and Marina's never far from her side to receive.)

21) I don't think they fear anything about their relationship specifically, rather what it means as MSQ continues on without Marina.

18) Yes, ish. Marina doesn't make it to 60 thanks to the Light poisoning. She does live a good life after MSQ, and passes on everything she knows to Tesleen and her friends, but Alisaie will long outlive her beloved angel.

16) It's everything. Love is the reason they're both alive, several times over. It's Marina's love that carries the Scions safely back across the rift in their spirit vessels, and it's Alisaie's love that brings Marina back from the aetherial sea.

15) Marina is loved, and believes she is loved - that's a pretty significant change from where she started the adventure.

Alisaie is softened - she still has a sharp tongue for anyone who crosses her or her wife, but she too is loved and doesn't feel the need to constantly prove her ability.

13) Technically Alisaie said it first, but was cut off in the middle by the Call. Only after Amaurot were they ready to admit it, and Marina beat her to "I love you".

14) Their best memory is their wedding, a lasting victory over the horrors of MSQ. Followed closely by the birth of their daughter.
