My fandom name is Ember Isolte and I've had this name since 1997. "Ember" came from my element as a fire child and "Isolte" came from my junior high history class. We had a week where we adopted a medieval name from a list to use for ourselves and Isolte just sounded really pretty to me at the time.

I know it's very tiring fighting spam on the #SecondLife Marketplace, but I encourage you to Flag listings that blatantly abuse keywords for relevance.

tumblr post by magicmooshka on January 7: recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen Al for scriptwriting but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen Al for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that Al can be useful in every field except the one that they know best. It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen Al will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.

Logged onto #SecondLife for a literal minute to look at my jackal face then logged out. We're gonna watch Mickey 17 at Fauna tonight at 6pm SLT, so I'll be back on before then, but like... I've lost the desire to just be online in SL while multitasking like I used to. 🤷

Don't know why I didn't think of doing this before, but I just submitted a suggestion to #StarStable -- Add an option in the horse naming UI to allow keeping a space between the two name choices so that, for example, horses with names like "Sanddollar" can appear formatted like "Sand Dollar". 🐎

I am relieved the Winter Village festivities are over in #StarStable. While it's one of my favorite times of the year in-game with all of it's Winter Token awarding activities and bright holiday cheer, a wee bit over a month of it all is just long enough for me. 🥰😴
