"ICE guys are pretty miserable. I don’t think morale is particularly high for them. They’re freezing, they’re getting shouted at. They can’t go anywhere without being tailed by 5 cars. They get out and immediately there's a crowd of 100 people shouting at them, blowing whistles as loud as they can."
Inside the resistance with Will Stancil
"It's something I could do to keep them from stealing my neighbors."

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Does anyone have any good resources for talking to kids about ICE? My 10yo is panicking about our friends and neighbors, and I feel maybe 75% equipped for honest but age-appropriate conversations and 25% way over my head.

(I don't want vague platitudes/reassurances or doomerism, pls and thanks)

Adding an "e" to the end of a singular "tamal" is called (in linguistics) linguistic interference/L1 interference/negative transfer: applying grammar rules from your native language (L1) to a 2nd language (L2), often creating errors. So, 1 tamal 2 tamales.🎄Happy Holidays!

My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.
