Never had a poptart. Might as well start on the shrimp end of things, yes?

yeah, it's all "book sales," far as I know. thanks for thinking of us like that, though. more important: hope you dig those books.

the drink, yeah. they're so good. it's like drinking flavorless tofu. cold, flavorless tofu. I don't much like how it's creamy white / looks like milk, but that's a mental hurdle I'm, for the moment, successfully clearing. have been for years now, I guess.

man, leftover cocktail shrimp from Costco for breakfast is sort of the dream. six, seven bites and the day's starting, hardly a minute and a half burned on food. may have to make this a regular thing. well, alternate it with the Soylent anyway, which is also about a minute from open until empty.

Love the fact that in the town hall scene in JAWS, there's nothing on the chalkboard until Quint shows up, meaning that he made a little drawing to show off how scary a giant shark is to help his sales pitch.

thank you.

Cool. Never knew this book existed. Suspect thereโ€™s a LOT to learn from
it. Question is: do I steal it or not?

asked, and, if it's going out of print, it's a surprise to many of usโ€”still selling well. but I do think the mass-market edition's had all the runs it's going to get. and of course cloth was gone long ago. plenty of of these trade paperbacks around, though. far as I know, and hope.

Man, no clue.
February 11, 2026 at 4:42 AM
Man, donโ€™t remember that one. Cool.

he's amazing, yeah. was lucky enough to get him to be the narrator for the third issue of True Believers.
February 11, 2026 at 12:12 AM
Thanks. Which version? Thereโ€™s three out there, now. And I guess maybe an audio version as well? Maybe?

it was, yep
I'm rereading "I was a Teenage Slasher" by @sgj.bsky.social and I had already forgotten what a love letter this book is to growing up in the desert in the 80's. I love this book so damn much. Lita Ford, the smell of creosote, FFA jackets, and small town nights. Man, what a time it was.

thank you.

I'll never not be riding around with Tolly and Ambs. Or, really? I'll walk in front of that little Rabbit truck, try to clear the road for them, get them to that happy ending.
Never underestimate @sgj.bsky.social Jade is still my final girl, but nowโ€ฆWOW! โค๏ธ this book! The positively on-age voice. The depth of perspective. The rich music. The hyper-realistic action. The plot slow-burns to the very last page and the end game is perfection. Very happy! #BookSky ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿฉธ
