(I checked with a librarian I know through @tsta-nea.bsky.social - in a different, larger district- and she got the same error, so this does seem like it may be something implemented at the state-level- I know our access is provided by a Texas State Library & Archives Commission program.)

Reached out to Gale Cengage over on The Bad Place to see if this is a statewide change and, if so, which part of which recent legislation it was in response to?

I had a student who did a research paper on abortion this past spring...

As mentioned in the text of the tweet, that does not appear to be a local library policy, according to our campus library aide, who helpfully added that we have books on the topic still, or district administrator who oversees the libraries.

Got an emergency call from my old boss back at Milo’s Sanctuary about a kitten with dwarfism that was suffering from severe constipation and was declining. I picked her up and I’ll be taking her down to Michele in a few days so for now- trying to make a kitten poop.

(I was so tired when I took Sabo for her appointment since it turned out I was sick myself that I forgot to post that I spoke to the vet about Julia, and he agreed that it was okay to end her isolation since the parasites and not her diet are probably her bigger problem.)
