BREAKING: Reuters has published video images of Marines carrying out the first known detention of civilian in Los Angeles
Marines have no business detaining civilians on our streets. We have to call this deployment what it is: an effort to turn our military against the American people.

Minnesotans know the difference between ICE and the National Guard. We proud of our @NationalGuardMn troops supporting their neighbors and protecting their rights as Americans. @governorwalz.mn.gov, thank you for making sure troops are doing right
Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

After Kabul fell, @shawnjvandiver.bsky.social and I worked w/ U.S. military and civil society to evacuate thousands of Afghan allies. Today, that system is inverted, and bases have been turned into detention sites. This puts at risk the life-saving work civil society has done over the last 4 years.
