Interesting perspective! I believe the climb matters because time is a resource you can’t get back. When you’re on a ladder aligned with your passions or goals, the journey itself can be fulfilling—not every climb has to feel unpleasant. Different strokes for different folks, though!

In the past, my grief made me withdraw. I’d skip gatherings, avoid traditions, and let holiday seasons slip by.
I’m slowly working on creating pockets of space where I don’t isolate myself.
