Enjoy 4 minutes of scale modelling highlights with all the finished entries of #TonyTonyTony.
It's been fantastic to see the #histscalemodels community come together working on a rather narrow theme.
Very well done you all and thank you again for making this happen 👏👏

Alright, now with the Su-18 out of the way, how about a Halifax?
Or a Sratojet?
Or if 1/72 really isn't for you right now, an 1/32 Lancaster Nose?

Soviet SU-18 self propelled gun. It never went into production, top heavy, narrow gauge and only held 4 shells.

Prototype roll out day, 10th October 1930, the ever-present commisars are not happy.

Kit by HobbyBoss 1/35. Loved making this little one.

Officially putting my hat into the ring for #HeaviesGB with Airfix's B-24D Liberator...
Of course it's 1/72, it's roughly 7 years you know me by now 😁
Zwilling Day16: De-masking took a good while, then propellers, gear and SCs went on.

Thanks mate, one last spray job to come, the rest are small parts and weathering.
If all goes well I'll be able to wrap the Zwilling up by Sunday 😃
So the masking templates are now included in the kits like on Hobby2000 and the Eduard Profi Packs?
That would be quite the perk 🙂
I hear you, I use the AK masking tape which is a very gentle adhesive. Straight lines are needed for the LW splinter, so it works in this case
Zwilling Day15: Last masking and RLM70 splinter is on.

Finally finished my Dixie Clipper. It's my second 1/144 four-engine aircraft, and shows the seaplane as it appeared when it transported President Roosevelt to the Casablanca Conference 1943. It's my third and last entry in #HeaviesGB ! putteringinthestudy.com/2025/10/27/b... #histscalemodels
Luckily my Gigant is of the self propelled variety and doesn't need a tug anymore 😎
You could add this to #HeaviesGB you know 🙂
Ok that one I own longer than a week and it wasn't second hand 🤣
Looking forward to it, starting out with Santa Cruz already sets a scene 🙂
As already posted, this week in #histbookchat I will stay in the Pacific with a very new book praised by Marshall and O'Hara.

Soon I’ll be picking up where Fortress Rabaul leaves off with ‘Target: Rabaul - The Allied Siege of Japan’s Most Infamous Stronghold, March 1943-August 1945’ by Bruce Gamble. It is also my humble #photofriday #histbookchat offering this week.
Gotta love a good trilogy, with the A-20s done I'll stay in the Pacific as well.
Just changing jungle airdromes with flattops.
Lots of flattops...
Zwilling Day13: RLM65 still got its use, on the SC1000s.
All six of them.

Very nearly there with the Shackleton. About a week's work left to complete. 👍👍

Getting prettier and prettier, conversely stays boxy 😁
I put out the measuring tape, it's 49cm wingspan 📏
