In the image center, an opaque oval cloud of gray gas aligned from 1 oโ€™clock to 7 oโ€™clock hides a star. Two strong beams of light from the star emerge from large holes in both sides of the cloud, forming narrow cones extending toward 10 oโ€™clock and 4 oโ€™clock. The central cloud is surrounded by concentric, wispy shells of gas illuminated by the starโ€™s light. The shells reflect extra light where theyโ€™re hit by the twin beams. A crowd of smaller stars with cross-shaped spikes over them surrounds the nebula on a black background.

It still seems unreal to me that humans will soon be flying back to the moon! They will be returning to Earth at a speed of 40.000 km/h, the fastest ever reentry of a crewed spacecraft.

This remastered video shows a similar reentry from the #Artemis 1 mission back in 2022 at 9x speed. ๐Ÿ”ญ๐Ÿงช

Cool, wind-shaped rocks on Mars photographed yesterday.
Sand, dust, and pebbles in the foreground grade away to more solid rock displaying curious, leftโ€“right-trending ridges that are (I presume) the result of wind erosion.

Dark and bright clouds as well as some stars, including one bright red star. Bright blue to red nebulae, mostly bright nebulae with some dark nebulae in front of it. Stars including some bright stars at the upper left part. Prominent dark clouds at the lower left in front of blue nebula. An additional violet clouds are on top of the blue nebula on the upper right side. Some bright stars at the lower left and upper right.
