The difference is that in the UK we think evangelical Christians are fucking weirdos who deserve the short shrift they get whereas in the US, idiots throw money at them and let them dictate government policy. We are not the same.

You are dead right. People voted Labour thinking that things would change. The first thing Starmer did was start taking freebies. Same as the last lot. If Labour want to stay in, people need to see improvement in their finances. Then they won’t be forced to stay home online getting brainwashed

If you believe that a person struggling to survive on benefits or living week to week in a minimum wage job with low skills and poor education is thinking about anything other than survival at this stage, you are deluded. Where is the community when THEY need it? It’s supposed to work both ways

You can’t judge somebody on what you think they might do in the future, whether you agree with them or not. Who could believe Aung San Suu Kyi would become a genocidal leader when she was awarded the NPP?
