I've just updated the available cats page, we have some REALLY special kitties in and some of them have been waiting ages. Their forever home might be on your timeline, please share? 🥰
Moggies looking for homes
After hearing 50,000 times that we should put the available cats on the website, we’ve made a page! Hooray! However, it is still just me doing most of the work in the shelter. So there’…

Times headline: ‘BBC failing to tackle systemic bias, says author of leaked memo’. In fact, when asked by MPs, this man, Michael Prescott, said he didn’t believe the BBC was institutionally biased. The Times failed to quote that, in an article about the issue of truthful reporting.

Apple users beware. This really is a very clever, complex scam.

If you receive an inward call from anyone, it’s always better to find their number yourself and call them back, no matter how genuine it may appear.

Seems I may have reactive arthritis. I had a gastric bug a month ago and my knees are still so painful and stiff I can barely get around. Asthma is also bad 😞 Brilliant GP response - submitted form online before lunch, GP called just now, meds prescribed. Thanks, NHS.

I’m gonna keep sharing these ovarian cancer symptoms whenever I see them.

I will add - from personal experience - diarrhoea and fatigue.

Get it checked! Remember, there’s no routine screening for ovarian cancer.

I have since had another thought. Mark Bonnar (Finlay) said on Traitors that he is known for playing bad guys. Was that a veiled warning to us #TheArchers listeners? Is he really not the nice guy he’s presenting to Helen? I can’t bear the idea of another destructive relationship for her.
I’ve decided I want to see where this Finlay/Helen relationship goes. I so want H to be happy and if that means losing her to a Scottish croft, that’s ok. So long as the boys reappear in Ambridge later, so we can see how they’re doing! #TheArchers

I wish they would stop with alarmist headlines. There may be snow somewhere, but for most of the UK it’s likely to be wintry showers. It’s November, so that’s not news. Is this some kind of reverse psychology crap to aid climate deniers, or just mindless click-baiting? 1/2

I'm getting reports that a firm is cold calling people "offering grants for renewables and quoting that MARTIN LEWIS had encouraged people to engage with the company."

The call is UTTER BOLLOCKS! This is not true. Don't trust them. Politely disengage and don't speak to them.

Son is now saying he needs a head CT. I’m a little more concerned (but don’t tell him that)…

Phone call from (adult) son:

Can you do me a favour?

What?

Could you please go and walk the dog? I’m worried he’s on his own.

Yes, I think so.

You see, I’m in Urgent Care.

Why?

I’ve been hit on the head with a metal bar.

Well, you could have opened with that, maybe.

I learned a new term today - pre-bunking. It’s the preemptive debunking of misinformation, and apparently it works a bit like vaccination to protect people from misinformation. A (rather long) article here…
Could this be the cure for fake news?
Most organisations have been fighting fake news when they see it. But what if there were a way to stop misinformation before it even starts to spread?
