The Pelicot trial saw >50 men with nothing in common - age, education, wealth, employment, kids, partners - except living a short distance away, were convicted of rape. How do we ever trust men again? Especially when many of them think they've done nothing wrong?

Party loyalty is far from the biggest problem here. The elephant in the room is the policies and values of the major parties to which most politicians are loyal. And say what you like, but a vote for the LNP is never an option. We need to vote out the major parties. Their time is done

What is most sick about this fact is not that the families seek to ensure their loved one won't get pregnant, its that there is little to no hope of preventing the actual assault. We just don't care enough to make these men change their behaviour. If we could prevent it, we would right?
