Yes, Disney -could- give their IP away for free, but they absolutely won't because that's literally the only reason they have IP, to monetize it for themselves in as many ways as possible. It's the reason a third Tron film happened at all.

Going just by the day 1 haslab results, I think you are possibly overestimating the toy-buying fanbase for Tron. While youtube people whose job it is to react to new films are indeed putting out videos, that has almost nothing to do with how the film will perform.

Hey everybody, it's ok to draw boundaries. Even with people who legitimately need help. Even with people you love. Especially if not having those boundaries is hurting you.

(this is advice for me but it helps me remember it if I frame it as for everyone else)

#oc-tober 06: A recent D&D character, my wizard "Itch". He's still pretty new as the campaign just started. Itch woke up one day in the middle of a magic academy surrounded by tomes and spell-books with no memory of his past. What's worse, nobody else remembers him either. #art

Yeah. Like, i get why they're doing Tron. It's another legacy IP they want to shock back into life, but... uhm... I don't think the new movie is doing that. And the last movie and the show didn't either...

Like at some point we gotta admit Tron maybe isn't a thing folks are clamoring for.

I think that it is a very remote longshot they do it in any form, and would depend on these lines doing very well.

Though I like Tron generally and Uprising is as good as it ever was, I am skeptical there is a vast blue ocean of Tron fanatics, and very skeptical there are that many Uprising fans.
