Orioles president of baseball operations Mike Elias calls this a “very exciting day” and said this type of player development complex had been “a dream” for some time.

“This was a really large effort.”

Elias said this area may be best indoor hitting facility in world right now.

The Orioles are about to unveil their new 47,700-square-foot player development complex here in Sarasota.

The report date for Orioles pitchers and catchers is tomorrow, with the first Spring Training workout set for Wednesday here in Sarasota, Fla.

Orioles announce that INF/OF Weston Wilson cleared outright waivers and has been assigned to Triple-A Norfolk.

Also, INF/OF Bryan Ramos was claimed off waivers by the Cardinals.

O’s 40-man roster is at 39 players.

New upper level pitching coordinator Thomas Eshelman, 31, pitched for Orioles from 2019-21.

2 former O’s Minor Leaguers are also now on the Dominican Summer League staff — Elio Prado (hitting coach) and Noelberth Romero (coach).

Orioles have acquired INF/OF Bryan Ramos from White Sox in exchange for cash considerations. The 23-year-old (who was DFA’d on Thursday) hit .198 in 36 big league games over past 2 seasons.

INF/OF Weston Wilson was DFA’d to make room on O’s 40-man roster.

The Camden Yards scoreboard sign and clock are off to be refurbished. They will be getting a new internal mechanism, clock face and neon on Orioles lettering. It will be ready for Opening Day.
