Pokemon Legends Z-A’s Lumiose City is too much of a flat wallpaper for me to enjoy. 2.5 stars.
In this review, I reflect on how Pokemon helped me through my cancer recovery, and how today, I hope it learns as I have, that survival is only the beginning.

Review | I’m 44, and ‘Pokémon Legends: Z-A’ makes me feel the walls closing in
“Pokémon Legends: Z-A” injects some energy into battles. But the series has never had a world this lifeless.

i rewatched The Abyss last night and it's so frustrating how good James Cameron is at making "big" movies with huge stakes and timeless SFX sequences that still have fundamentally "human" relationships tying everything together narratively... and now he's hyping AI in Hollywood SFX? c'mon

The Man Calling Bullshit on the AI Boom
Ed Zitron built a massive following by saying what tech journalists won't: that generative AI is an unsustainable bubble propped up by hype and bad math.
