The attack on Winston Peters home today was totally unacceptable. MPs homes are not the place to protest. No matter the cause, political violence is never ok and should be condemned. Free speech is healthy in a democracy, political violence is not.

The government doesn't give a flying fuck about "saving" kids from unsafe medical treatments. I was given a bunch of unsafe drugs by state-run psychiatry as a teenager. It screwed up my brain and body in ways I'm still dealing with. That's still happening.

I am frankly sick of this puberty blockers debate. I have no idea how people think delaying a girl's puberty until she is 16 became an accepted medical practice. It is obviously detrimental to a trans girl's physical and social wellbeing to be that delayed.

I don't like it when a romance novel protagonist is tiny and the male love interest is huge. The woman should be taller than an averge man, and the love interest should tower over her anyway.

Personally, if I didn't want small boats coming to my country, I wouldn't cause mass impoverishment and war in the global south. Because I'm a sensible person who understands cause and effect, and not a trust fund baby.

I don't think underinvestment in Wellington is counteracted by disruptive, over-priced, unnecessary roading projects.
The big news today is Waka Kotahi's announcement about doubling the Mt Vic and Terrace tunnels. Wellington hasn't gotten our fair share in recent years and I welcome the $3.8 billion investment. I also have some concerns, so I'm asking you to engage in the consultation now 🚗🛣️
