As of now, that is the case. If the human race survives, and that appears to be a big if, future technologies may change all that. Faster than light speed travel involving a host of possible mediums (that may include gravitational tunnels) could change things Not long ago, flight seemed impossible.

It’s the Trump effect. He normalizes lying, grifting, and compromising one’s morals, ethics, and integrity for power and money, not to mention bullying. There doesn’t seem to be any easy answers right now, not that there ever will be. And the Rs seem to be getting more extreme with each shutdown.

As I understand it, the 25th Amendment, while theoretically possible, is very difficult to pull off in practice. I assume a large percentage of Trump supporters will have to publically abandon him before the Rs turn on him. I don’t necessarily see that happening unless things are circling the drain.

Interesting article although I do not necessarily see the increased leverage unless that means everything is completely torn down which seems inconceivable to me. People will vote the Rs out in droves and/or states will eventually secede from the Union and maybe join Canada IMO. What a mess.
