The first period was definitely a period of hockey.

The bench camera shot happens every game but it never gets old to see Jessica Campbell behind the bench in the shot.

(2/2) And through it all, you allow cameras to document the entire thing, even before the first signs of success.

It's not only Molson and fans and players that have confidence in this group. This entire group has so much confidence in their process.

(1/2) The rebuild of the Canadiens has proven what can happen when you against conventional thinking:

- Molson hires anglophone Jeff Gorton to lead hockey operations
- Gorton selects Kent Hughes, an agent who was not seen as an obvious candidate.
- Hire Martin St-Louis as coach without experience
jaredbook.bsky.social
Kent Hughes is a wizard.

Everybody wants to be Filip Mešár

Zachary Bolduc probably won’t score 82 goals this season.

But he might.

Penn State is clearly a hockey school now
jaredbook.bsky.social
Well… about that 😆

The Canadiens have six goals with one point from Suzuki, Caufield, Slafkovský, Hutson combined. And it’s not even like those four are playing badly.

That’s a very good development.
jaredbook.bsky.social
Definitely doesn’t hurt.

If I had a nickel for every time a son of a Major Leaguer insulted by George Steinbrenner defeated the Yankees in the ALDS, I would have 10 cents but it's still weird it happened twice.

1995: Son of Major Leaguer kicked off the field by the Yankees as a kid beats them in ALDS.

2025: Son of Major Leaguer kicked off the field by the Yankees as a kid beats them in ALDS.

Similar to Ken Griffey Jr. Steinbrenner once kicked him off the field as a kid when others were playing, they pulled back a contract offer for his dad and signed Sheffield instead and George called him overrated.

I can relate here. I once gave a thumbs up and two men outside thought it was a middle finger and they tried to open the door of my cab to get me.

I locked the door. And it may have scared me but it didn’t cost me $250k at least.

Jerry Jones said his accidental gesture was part of an exchange with Dallas Cowboys fans, not New York Jets fans, sitting in front of him.

There wouldn’t be any conflicts with the men’s WC. The IIHF by laws prevented that. April tournaments have to be spaced apart. It’s mainly for the PWHL.

In addition, a new European Women’s Championship will start in April 2027.

The PWHL announces that the move to the November Women's World Championship is a permanent one, not one just for 2026/Olympic years.

Imagine making a trade where you trade Zack MacEwen and you still lose the trade...
hockeyviz.com
MacEwan for MacDermid is one of those trades that makes you ask: why
jaredbook.bsky.social
Could be, for the same reasons that I mentioned for Hamilton.
jaredbook.bsky.social
I'm not basing this on any intimate knowledge and do not have a source here, but January 17 looks like the reported Hamilton PWHL Takeover Tour game.

It's a Toronto home game that is listed TBD. It is against Vancouver, who has Hamilton native Sarah Nurse.

Seems likely, no?
jaredbook.bsky.social
Not a typo. Jan 2 is typically an off day in the US and schools are still closed. Most Canadian banks have the day off as well. It’s an extension of that weird two weeks around Christmas and NYD.
jaredbook.bsky.social
Also for the record: On Jan 12, one day after a TBD game against PWHL Vancouver, the Canucks play the Canadiens at the Bell Centre...
jaredbook.bsky.social
For the record: The Bell Centre is free on all three of the TBD home games on Montreal's schedule: Dec 27 vs TOR, Jan 11 vs VAN, Mar 28 vs NY.

One of those games will surely be there.
