Ronja Savolainen makes it 2-1 with a power play goal with only 2.9 seconds left in the first period.

Jessica DiGirolamo scores for Montreal to make it 2-0.

Of the five players to have points so far for the Victoire, four were signed this offseason by Danièle Sauvageau.

Shiann Darkangelo makes it 1-0 Montreal on the power play.

Nicole Gosling taking Abby Roque's spot on the power play for the Victoire.

Roque is suspended. I really liked Scamurra on that line on Sunday.

We should know relatively soon whether Abby Roque will be suspended for her hit on Abby Boreen.

Quick turnaround as Montreal plays tonight.

No PWHL game notes released yet, I imagine waiting for the suspension decision.

I think if you ice the puck and a guy has a broken stick he shouldn't be able to get a new one.
January 13, 2026 at 1:51 AM
You know the puck movement is good when it turns Alexandre Carrier into a sniper 😅
January 13, 2026 at 1:48 AM
If you follow me, or the PWHL in general, what is something you wish there was more of in coverage? (Within limits, as much as I'd love to I am not going to be able to create a model or anything like that 😅)

Doesn't even have to be Montreal-based. I'm curious what you would want to consume more of.

Ann-Renée Desbiens getting the shutout was a great story. Nicole Gosling's first career goal was a great story.

The most important development for the Montreal Victoire might just be that they are winning the scoring chance battle consistently with all four lines contributing.

PWHL | Victoire vs. Goldeneyes: Desbiens shines in homecoming
Ann-Renée Desbiens is not from Quebec City, but it is the city where she went to high school and played minor hockey. She had 120 friends and family at Sunday’s game, and left it with a 26-save…

Looks like no changes to Canadiens lineup tonight based on morning skate line rushes. Dach, Evans and Laine are in no-contact sweaters, Anderson in a regular sweater but not skating on a regular line.

Montreal Victoire forward Lina Ljungblom is officially a member of Sweden’s Olympic team. (It wasn’t in doubt but is now official)
January 12, 2026 at 2:39 PM
To me this is as accidental a contact to the head can be. Roque was skating to the puck, Boreen bent down, result was shoulder right to head.

I still think it might be a major, but there's no intent there.

I know it's not showing up on the scoreboard but I am really liking the play of the other lines for the Victoire today.

The goals will come.
January 11, 2026 at 8:33 PM
Kori Cheverie has shaken up her lines in the second period.

Ljungblom is now centering Murphy and Greig.

Downie-Landry is with Labelle and Dubois with Willoughby rotating in.
January 11, 2026 at 8:27 PM
You know the other Victoire lines are having a cold streak when they have great chances and don't score, and that Gosling shot bounces in while he top line is on the ice 😂

Jenn Gardiner with a rousing ovation from the Quebec (pro-Montreal) crowd in pre-game introductions.

Are you kidding me???!!!???111?
Abbey Murphy just having fun out there. What a player.

If I’m picking second in the PWHL draft, I’m happy the Murphy-Harvey decision is being made for me.

When Kati Tabin found out she would be making Canada’s 2026 Olympic team, her first words were “holy shit”

Her journey to the Olympics was unexpected but truly earned. #PWHL
Kati Tabin’s unexpected but earned journey to the Olympics
On Thursday afternoon, Kati Tabin received the call of a lifetime. The Montreal Victoire defender received the news on a Zoom call with Team Canada’s coaching and management team.

Kati Tabin spoke to the Montreal media for the first time since being named to Canada's Olympic team on Saturday.

Story about her reaction and journey coming soon.

I’m not a crowd size estimator but I’d say a good 200+ people at the Montreal Victoire open practice at Videotron Centre in Quebec City.
January 10, 2026 at 4:58 PM
Imagine telling someone in 2023 when this happened that one of these players would be Canadian Olympians in 2026… and it wouldn’t be Giguère.
January 10, 2026 at 3:12 AM
Five Montreal Victoire named to Team Canada: Ann-Renée Desbiens, Erin Ambrose, Marie-Philip Poulin, Laura Stacey and Kati Tabin (!)

Shocked about Tabin but you can’t say she doesn’t deserve it. Has been great for Montreal and always improving. #PWHL

(This is delayed because I’m driving to Quebec)
