I made a couple of songs for this! It's a cool little atmospheric game where you walk around and interact with stuff, uncover dialogue, secrets, and the sort. And I'm pretty proud of the tunes I did for this one!
Full Metal Syncope achieved **200 pre-registrations** on the Google Play Store! Thanks everyone who pre-registered it, I'll be releasing the game later today, stay tuned.

This performance rocks, I love clipping. and they took a primarily electronically-produced set of songs and pulled off a lot of cool acoustic adaptation and found sound foley stuff in this, it's really cool.

ok, time for another round of #screenshotsaturday. This is 'Tidal Hell', a zero-player war sim game where you engineer weapons and send off your pawns to watch them fight.

Just found you can use a browser extension to re-enable the little "Watch Later" button that used to be present in the top corner of YouTube thumbnails as a quick way to add videos into that playlist and JEEZ I've missed that feature so much.

If I hear you rave about how great "AI Summaries" are on Google you've basically outed yourself as having been unable to research anything on the internet up to this point.

Yes I have quite a few ppl in my life that talk about how "amazing and helpful" the summaries are.

Big recommend for this game (Mortal Meal) for a short & sweet horror-adjacent game. I really liked the visuals and music in this one especially, plus it's got a good story to boot.

(Also its OST is free on Bandcamp which is super dope.)

Fun fact: the main synth used in my song "Falling to my Death" from Lunacid is a patch called "Siphons in the Sky" from the plugin: Absynth 5, by Native Instruments.

I love Donkey Kong Country on the SNES, but am I alone in feeling the level design of the first entry is kind of... frustrating? I love the way the game feels, looks, sounds, how DK/Diddy control - but the levels themselves have been kind of annoying, enemy placement feels cheap oftentimes.

This legit sounds like a Zelda Dungeon or something, cool vibe:

With every passing day I feel my "professional" veneer fading in favor of more human interaction with every instance of nonsense I encounter in business-y convos with people.

Working a desk job does that to you I think, lol. There's only so much disingenuous interaction one can stomach.

I'm part of a new compilation album from The Fainting Room! Lots of cool artists featured in this, like Luke Vincent (Automaton Lung) Mike Klubnika (Buckshot Roulette) and others, too many cool folks to mention.

The album is completely FREE on Bandcamp!

Normalize taking screenshots of posts of cool art, music, games and other stuff that you want to check out later but don't have the time to in the moment.

Can't tell you how many things I've been able to circle back to and enjoy that way.

Heard a weird similarity to a synth from a song from the game Sephonie by @hantani.bsky.social and "Rock with You" by Michael Jackson, they're almost identical - pretty neat! Kinda makes me wonder if it was an emulation vst of a similar synth used in the MJ song or something.

I guess Mario Kart World has a bunch of new arrangements of pretty deep cut/relatively obscure Nintendo music, keep seeing posts about it and stuff - I think that's pretty neat! Nice to hear some of these old songs with a cool new take.

As a big Mario Kart DS fan the new game with the free roaming and all the micro challenges in the world looks pretty fun, it's kinda like an improved "mission mode" from the aforementioned game in that sense.

Also gives Sonic Frontiers vibes to me. Just cruising around and doing random stuff.

PSA: Google forces AI summaries on almost everything you search and there's no way to remove them without adding syntax like "-ai" to the start of the query, and given that environmental impact of ai summaries vs. regular search engine queries I'd say it's not a bad time to switch an alternative.

Isn't it weird that the games "Shadow x Sonic" generations and Mario & Luigi Brother"ship" came out in the same year as each other? Was 2024 the year of yaoi games? 🤔

This is easier than I thought it would be, I'm not rly feeling any FOMO after the big reveal yesterday. I'm pretty content with holding out for a while on the system.

(That and the new reality of games/consoles pricing this generation is kind hard to swallow...)
I'm gonna commit to not buying/pre-ordering a Switch 2 unless there's an exclusive game at launch that I just SUPER want to play. It's probably inevitable that I'll get one eventually but I'm gonna try and resist the consumerist hype cycle type beat and hold off for a while.
April 3, 2025 at 5:41 PM
I'm rly curious about the whole rumored-ish "Mouse" functionality with the new Switch, a ton of ppl I know only ever play docked or in bed/handheld so I struggle to imagine who would actually use it on tabletop with a mouse except for rly specific stuff.

Guess we'll probably find out tomorrow tho

I've posted the Glitched Out OST on all streaming places! If you haven't checked out that game or the music I'd recommend the songs "Everything has a Price!" or "Chip Chillwave (Chip's Chill Mix)" as those are some of my faves that I made for the OST
