Hi, I'm Jason. I came over from the other site when Blue Sky was still invite only, roughly a couple months before that ended, IIRC.

I need to reschedule for 4 weeks out after ALL symptoms are gone. (Lungs were a little itchy today, but I'm unsure if this is lingering infection or pollen or smoke from wild fires...)

The upper endoscopy didn't happen. Apparently the URI I had, gave me symptoms that meant there was significant risk. (They were easily screened for in the computer page I had to use anyways, but weren't) So, I was a bit flustered with it all.

Also please if you're still smoking, consider quitting now. Doctors said the coronary damages were caused mainly by his smoking habit even if he stopped 20 years ago. Do it for yourself and your loved ones. ❤️ (Signed, an ex smoker).

Update: my father is out of intensive therapy and he's incredibly in amazing health and strength! No neural damages whatsoever and he's as chatty and witty as ever! (And hungry!) The recovery will be shorter than they initially thought 💕 thanks everyone for the support - also dad thanks you all!!💕💕

So, the quadruple bypass + aortic valve transplant was successful - they are still keeping him sedated and monitored for any bleeding, blood infection or neurological damages (which they don't think he'll develop) due to external blood circulation...

Another trend I was rudely reminded of by respondents to your post was sealioning with claims of ND justifying "Just Asking Questions" then framing any correction to their statement as "being attacked."

These clowns really need other hobbies.

Then adjust YOUR behavior accordingly. Using your disability or different wiring as an excuse to violate others boundaries is just awful behavior. And I've known plenty of NT folks who do similar. So quit pretending you don't have any obligations in this. Grow the fuck up.

But that's life. And guess what, even NTs need to double check their assumptions. This is doubly true when crossing the NT-ND boundary. A great rule of thumb is if you feel attacked, unless it's clear and obvious to ANYONE, ND or NT, assume that's happening on social media.

I'm VERY Neurodivergent, so I'm not at all ignorant of how misreads happen. And if you're also very ND you should also know that it's your responsibility to keep in mind basic boundaries most other people have. It sucks to not always be on the same page.

And I've got little patience for people violating a boundary with me in the very first interaction. I don't care if you're autistic. You can google basic social rules and/or run things by a trusted person before whining to a complete stranger about how terribly attacked you feel.

If you've not guessed, that interaction really rubbed me the wrong way. The person who was added to the list had every opportunity to search for posts by a person who is regarded as knowledgeable about the questions they raised. Clearly they didn't.

If you're making flawed statements about tech, and you're refusing to learn from the efforts of others, POLITELY pointing out the flaws, you're not being attacked.

Seeking sympathy or ego stroking from me is a standard-boundary violation. Bring it up with your therapist instead.

FWIW, If I reply down thread from any reply to you, saying "Yes that person has great insights into this subject." And you whine to me about how you're "being attacked" when people are only pointing out the flaws in the statements you're making, re: tech, you go in the automatic gainsayers list.

One curious thing on this site about speaking out against the encroachment of LLMs is that inevitably you get accused of being anti-tech. I don’t hate technology. I’ve used machine learning in my own code before. But I also recognize that oligarchs are so hellbent on pushing this tech for a reason.

Fucking Google.... I updated Chrome and it automatically pinned a widget for using their LLM to the title bar. That screams of a desperation worse than a 50 yr old man wolfcalling 20 yr old ladies like an immature fratboy during spring break.
