I know this is a minor thing, but even Republicans still call it the Department of Defense, not the Department of War.

I watched his MTP interview. He’s fine. He’s a normal, young telegenic politician.
The people obsessing over him are desperate for a hero and I feel bad for the guy trying to live up to expectations that he shouldn’t have to shoulder.

Re Mamdani discourse I know some folks will not like hearing this but feels like the convo is becoming way too saturated. I really appreciate this guy and am marveling his win. And, I love New York but the world doesn't revolve around it.

The Mets are trading Brandon Nimmo and I’m kinda bummed bc I remember when I got back from Afghanistan and got placed in a barracks room one of the first things I watched when I got a tv was the mlb draft and I’m pretty sure it was the first televised draft and Nimmo was the Mets’ pick.

If you’ve ever seen homes in classic Philadelphia neighborhoods that have these iron plates above the door and wondered what they were, well, they’re called fire marks.
Basically 18th century fire insurance.
