I’m not sure what this platform can do to make it more enjoyable, but I’m definitely not enjoying whatever pile-on is taking place right now in my notifications and I’m also not really sure how I could make it stop.

I still remember being surprised working on the college newspaper in 1999 that our main music critic HATED the Beatles because I'd never encountered that before and upon further prying it was because he (correctly) thought we should also be celebrating the slightly more underground music of that era
As someone who is this guy's age I can tell you 100% that if you were into Pixies, Nirvana, 120 Minutes stuff, etc. but didn't like the Beatles you had to have worked hard to contort yourself into that special little box. Your enemy, if you absolutely needed one, was hair metal. GTFO here with this.
