as it turns out one of my cats has an autoimmune disease that badly affects his teeth.

I have noticed a recurring pattern in my life. In times of high stress, I do something to alter my appearance and suddenly feel so much better. Not sure if this is a good coping mechanism or not but hey, I got a cute piercing and short hair cut out of it this time so 🤷‍♀️
