Maybe I'm in the minority but I really don't think this Pikmin short is anything more than just an animated short by Nintendo Pictures. I don't get any vibe there's a tease for a game or bigger announcement.

And animation isn't "pointless" because it isn't trying to sell you a specific product.

It’s a lot more convenient to make one person a hero than it is to give a shit about their message, but we have to resist that.
