Finally, the bombshell everyone's been waiting for - my source at Houston First just informed me they do not have Anime Matsuri currently scheduled for any 2026 dates at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Doesn't mean they're not gonna try to have it anywhere else but verrrrry interesting.

I can though confirm we don’t have it on our books right now for 2026. That doesn’t mean that might not change or that the organizers will do it somewhere else, so I can’t definitely say it’s not happening. Hope that’s at least somewhat helpful.

I work at the Hilton connected to the convention center and it's not even on the list of events for groups expected to book rooms. So was the convention canceled this year? Anyone know where to buy the superpass for AM26? been using eventbrite but it's not on there either... Post from the Anime Matsuri Facebook Group: Does anyone know if there's gonna be a Winter AM again? For those that don't know, Anime Matsuri had a mini convention February of this year. At AM2025 they had a sign for AM mini 2026 saying it'd be in February at the westchase Marriot, but ya I have doubts it'll happen due to lack of announcements. Their website has been down for weeks
