Poor, poor rich men. I don't want any sickeningly wealth people to suffer, so if you're reading this now, just get in touch for my bank details. I will bravely shoulder your burden (Give 99% of it away).

The BBC doing a single damn thing to try and make it look like they're no longer the pro-racist genocide cheerleader they have been for at least 15 years is like the person who ran over your family asking you out because they've had a nice haircut. www.theguardian.com/media/2025/n...

The Wicked Witch of the West was a wicked witch. A total nasty force for evil. Nothing more complicated than that. A despicable, scary villain from a children's story.

Try to sketch her in more detail than that, you're basically fellating Trump.

Just realised how much all giraffes look like Julian Clary, bemusedly looking down on all other species.

Are they absolute scum? As immoral as they are stupid? Then, yes, of course they’re a Russian asset.

(Yes I am aware that they are from two different North Country counties with some subtle accent differences. I’m just saying that McGuinness is otherwise exactly the same as Savile.)
November 23, 2025 at 11:22 AM
Was Paddy McGuinness given his job on Radio 2 because he has the same accent as Sir Jimmy Savile? Sometimes it sounds uncanny, it’s like he never left us.

I often feel we’re one connection away from confirming the definite correlation between people who wear shorts in the winter, who celebrate Xmas from 6 Nov-26 Dec, and who vote Reform. There’s an impatient infantilism in society which will kill us all.
November 22, 2025 at 10:10 AM
Well, you could begin with the first story in the series, for a start. But you’ll still be bringing to life the tiny-minded imagination of a rather dull 20th century Christian poet. You’d need to rewrite it top to bottom to make it good. Why bother?

Until I watched the DVD a decade or so ago it was the ultimate magical festive memory. By the end, I was open-mouthed at how utterly dumb and devoid of peril the plot was. The blame lies 100% with Masefield.

This is my traditional ‘The Box of Delights is absolute rubbish after the first couple of atmospheric episodes as it descends into a meaningless non-event involving a load of choir boys and a crap cartoon demon’ post. Gets earlier every year.

You have to love the way this sketch so reeks of Linehan: misogyny, tick, completely ignorant failure to appreciate Piper’s talent, tick: always on the wrong side of history.
