If #COP30 achieved anything, it was uniting Indigenous peoples and movements. Tens of thousands marched in Belém demanding land rights, a just transition, food sovereignty, and an end to Amazonian oil extraction.

At the People’s Summit in the heart of Amazonia, Indigenous leaders and global movements opened #COP30 with performances and a symbolic “Funeral of Fossil Fuels.” Their message was clear: demarcate Indigenous territories now.

People’s Summit plenaries revived debates on climate justice, food sovereignty, territorial rights, and feminist perspectives as the gathering returned alongside #COP30. The day closed with a Munduruku protest against carbon credit threats in the Upper Tapajós.

The Feds, LA County is (correctly) saying, have CAUSED the emergency.

In the so-called US in 2022 24.9% of Disabled adults aged 18-64 lived in poverty vs 10.1% of the able-bodied. And Disabled adults have a 77% reduced change of home ownership vs the able bodied. Please help me get the stable, Disability accessible home I need with a donation & sharing this post.

As the severe tendinitis & psoriatic arthritis have become more severe due to a lack of healthcare it’s become increasingly difficult to read books. I use audiobooks now as an access tools to great writing, such as Joshua Whitehead’s novel, Johnny Appleseed. Let’s make all books #DisabilityAccess.
