Spouse just suggested showing up empty-handed at my uncle's house after the sudden death of his wife/my aunt.
I would be haunted by the ghosts of both grandmothers, my mom, and my MIL if I didn't at least pull a pan of brownies together, damn. 😒

Today, we celebrated the life of one of the matriarchs under whose wing I was fortunate enough to find shelter as a child. It's my second funeral in two months, but both fall squarely under the heading of A Good Long Life.
Of the stories told today, one will stay with me forever.
