Another photo of Mom and me that I don’t recall ever seeing before. I already miss you so much, Maa. You were the best mom. I know everyone thinks their mom is the best, but you truly were.

Thanks to my Uncle John for sharing this.

My Uncle John sent some pictures of Mom yesterday and here’s one I’ve never seen of us before.

The traditional 9th anniversary gifts are pottery or wicker so here’s wishing you love and a bountiful harvest @jeremydnichols.bsky.social

My mom died today and the only person that I want to console me is my mom. RIP Maa.

She did say this to me last week.♥️ I’ve rarely been happier to hear any words. 😊 I love you too, Maa.

Found this picture online while trying to figure out how one great
uncle was related to us. It’s of my mom’s mom and maternal grandmother. My Grandma Noah is on the left. My Granny Thelma Mayhall is on the right. Grandma Noah apparently has amazing red hair—and as you can see lots of it.
Two women, a mother and a daughter pose for a photograph. The one seated on the left is my maternal grandmother Wilma Juanita “Nita” Mayhall Noah. The one standing on the right is my great grandmother “Granny” Thelma Lee Havenhill Mayhall.

I instantly start balling just like I did back in January of 2021 when I thought that we were going to lose Mom to a perforated bowel. I heard it back then in the shower and I did that sink down crying in the shower thing that’s a trope in movies and television. Corny but true. Here I am today:

My sister Jessica (who’s birthday is today) made my mom a mix of songs we grew up hearing on KVIL the DFW mom radio station and this song came on the mix while we were in Mom’s room: youtu.be/AeadLurGR1U?...

If able and comfortable doing so, we would be grateful to have you as part of her memorial by submitting a few sentences about her. Pictures will also be a wonderful addition to the collection if you have any. Thank you for loving our mom. 🩷

From my sister Juliana:

Hi…our mom has been very ill and she is home on hospice and will transition soon. As we prepare for her memorial service, we would love to have stories, remembrances, words of appreciation for how she impacted your life.

My sister just called the hospice. Please keep Mom in your thoughts and prayers.

She’s got a lot of literal fight left in her. She moves with surprising quickness for a somnolent person going through the literal process of dying. You got to dodge quick unless you want to catch them hands.

We have all decided against even trying to get her to dialysis tomorrow. Getting her there would be so potentially traumatic and scary for her and ultimately delaying the inevitable. She can’t help us move her. Even though she cannot walk, her arms are curiously strong.

She confessed in an unfiltered moment that she was pretty sure that she had dementia, but was hoping that she was wrong. He mother died of Alzheimer’s and mom has honestly been terrified and hyper-vigilant about any signs of dementia in herself. She was able to mostly hold it together until the
