Anyways, yeah. This is an incalculable loss for the region and sports journalism. It will be jarring to wake up in the morning — in one of the biggest metro areas in the country — and not have a sports section (and so many other great parts of The Post) to turn to.

The U.S. Border Patrol agents who killed Alex Pretti last weekend in Minneapolis have been placed on leave, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed on Wednesday.

Probably the most emotionally difficult yet rewarding part of working on this project was learning more about Judy Resnik, lost this day 40 years ago aboard Challenger with six others.

A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.
