The change was easy to miss—lawmakers slipped the amendment removing the ANR into the state budget.

Something to follow closely as we head into the 2026 midterms: voter fraud is exceedingly rare, but in the interest of fighting it, the Statehouse is considering a flurry of potential changes to election laws.
