So many elected leaders in the U.S. telling people to "wake up".

Yet most (white) Americans go about their day like this is normal.
Trump's ruthlessness is clear: he federalized 4,000 of our state's National Guard and sent 700 active duty Marines to threaten and invoke fear in the very people they have sworn to protect.

Wake up to what is going on in this country.

ICE is a way to organize, train, gear, arm, and desensitize Trump's army.

This is distinct from the US Army and not beholden to the Constitution or US laws.

Good work by @althiaraj.bsky.social on the inside story of Guilbeault's resignation, from his being frozen out by PMO, given false assurances, and being made to wear the government walking back on pledges he made to Elizabeth May to secure her support. No kidding it was untenable for him to stay.

What do these corporations have in common?

Netflix
Ford
Tesla
T-Mobile
Duke Energy
DISH Network
Metlife
Dominion Energy

In recent years, they all paid their execs more than they paid in taxes.

This is what a corporate-rigged system looks like.

Meanwhile completely abandoning environmentalists, climate scientists, and Carney's so called *values*.

It feels like the child who throws the tantrum gets rewarded while the conscientious eldest child is unappreciated.
As a political scientist, I think the effects on unity are some of the biggest problems with the agreement. It legitimates "Alberta" as an aggrieved party, distinct from other provinces, while treating BC and its peoples to be as issues to be managed, rather than partners in the federation.
