My health insurance premiums will more than double in January. I pay a little less than $500/month for my current silver plan.
I just reapplied and my new premium will be $1062/month.

jfc, this entire thread. I am speechless, other than to note that this would've never happened when I was in college 25 years ago.
At this point, our intro comp/first-year English course has been so heavily revised, it no longer includes a novel, or "extended reading" of any kind, no "specialized" or "historical" reading, mostly in-class assignments, no research essay...and we are still seeing a 40-50% rate of AI misconduct.
