the ludicrously facist Govt in Helldivers 2 refers to the Bug faction as facists for attempting to destroy their "Managed Democracy" so the Catch this facist, (the arrows are the key combination to call in a 500kg bomb air strike) is really a "how dare you undermine our vision of facism" message

pretty much any property that satirises facism by making an over the top obviously insane version of facism, inevitably also attracts a population of "this is fucking awesome" facism fans. Starship troopers has them, Warhammer 40K famously has them. helldivers is just the newest.

its an easy trap to fall into because the right traditionally have been pretty good about banding together to get elected AND THEN falling into factional fighting over small details when in power, whereas the left tend to do it about even working together to get elected so its more visible.
