i grew up watching ice skating with my grandmother every time i was visiting (and people were shocked? that i was a homosexual? shocked. absolutely mindblown.) and while there's always clips available of the really cool shit i miss just watching an entire ice skate program every now and then

the other night my beloved - who plays rugby, watches several sports, and is the reason I got into watching sports in the first place - cycled through four different sports in a fit of ADHD trying to get to that he was watching a football game and eventually just yowled "i'm watching the sportsball"

in the early 70s when the 1st gas crisis drove up prices of everything, the Nixon admin advised people they could save on beef & chicken by buying organ meats instead and said they were quite tasty if given proper seasoning and cooking. even in a very different cultural environment it didn’t go well
