Got caught in traffic and arrived 15 min late to work. Rather than texting in the Teams chat for this project (standard form of communication for our org), a member of senior leadership told my boss, who then called me, as I was walking in.

The combination of fascism covid more fascism genocide capitulation to fascism and the clear goal of AI tech bros to eradicate the workforce and make all jobs and future goals irrelevant as we all slide into poverty while eleven rich people become gods is really doing a number on us.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

The thing that always stands out with these guys is that they are impervious to all pleas for empathy and basic decency until the *moment* that someone in their immediate family is affected, and then suddenly they become Mother Teresa.

Reminder 3: chosen family is family. This could be pets, friends, etc. The best Thanksgivings I’ve ever spent have been with friends and only the family I’m super close with (cousins around my age). No drama, just drinks, jokes, good ass food, and some board games.
