In many ways I cling to being a kid, and probably will until I die.
The key is to strive to be childlike (never stop learning, keep your sense of wonder, always make time to play), rather than childish (selfish and self-centered, wanting everything handed to you, emotionally volatile).

nostalgia becomes reactionary when it takes on a sense of entitlement: this was taken from me, and I want it back. But you can never get it back! It's like there is a very weird self-infantalization happening, everyone wants to go back to being a child and it's awful

Ian the gecko achieved his lifelong dream of appearing on the hit gameshow Jeopardy and meeting his hero, the GOAT himself, Ken Jennings! Ian asked me to depict Ken as a breed called the Kinder goat because it originates from Washington State, which is where Ken was born!

🧵 A question I got a lot when I came out as bi was some variant of "How does this affect your marriage?" In fairness I can see how some might wonder. After 13+ years of marriage why would I suddenly discover an attraction to men? Truth is I don't know. But I know it's real, and I'm not afraid of it.

I made myself on HeroForge! I think it turned out good! The only part I couldn't get right was my whiskers. I tried using a mustache, but it just looked silly! *giggles* That's okay! I'm ready to read you some bedtime stories and then lie down on the cool grass and watch the stars with you! 😊✨
