Truth, backed up with facts.
Reminder that this study exists.

Some people make the claim that worker-owned organizations are inefficient. It's important to fact-check such statements with existing empirical research.

Empiricism has been the pathway to a better world for humanity for centuries. And it still is.
A 2016 metastudy of 102 samples representing 56,984 firms finds that employee ownership is positively associated with productivity.

These findings align with a growing body of research showing that businesses owned by their workers tend to be more productive than other companies.

Amazing. Thanks so much to everyone who contributed their time and brainpower to this work! #atproto_mtl
Thought I'd actually get the notes done before heading off to the next ATProto event @eurosky.social and #ATProto_BER

Huge list of topics covered, lots of ah-ha's and learning from each either.
We've got a mega write up of #ATProto_MTL

Thanks to @cosmik.network and @graze.social for your direct financial support for travel & accomodation, and everyone else for coming and working through hard problems together.

Inclusivity is key to democracy. This means equal voting rights in our politics, but it can't end there. The economy also affects us in many ways.

What does inclusivity mean in the context of economics? It means inclusivity in ownership, the vehicle of economic power. It means worker ownership.

Another insight into "rich male psycho brain" that we get from the #Epstein emails is that they set the importance flag to "High" in every single email they send. Normal people simply don't do that. Ever.

Great to see @chadkoh.com running with @protocolsforpublishers.com.

Chad is a huge open protocols advocate, and fortunately he's not completely engineering brained and has been spending time at the Internet Governance Forum and other important venues that are more policy & civil society oriented.

Recovering from my surgery is going great!

However, me and the gf just ordered Korean fried chicken. Usually we pick it up, but not feeling it tonight. Food cost: $50.09. Delivery fees: $14. The “recommended tip” for the human who actually delivers the food: $5.09. #enshittification is real
