Testament by @jmarshallsmith.bsky.social is easily
one of my faves this year. An existential story that will grip your heart told through gorgeous, expressive artwork. Also - so much love for old lady protagonists 🔥

From this minister's op-ed: "People wanting to experience God are more likely to meet the Divine trying to shut down the Broadview, Illinois, ICE facility than we ever were in church...God does not live in our houses of worship, but...with those who are bearing the brunt of cruelty in this moment."
Oh wow @reuters.com got the photo here:

I’m in Harrogate and my author copies of my first full graphic novel were waiting for me at the hotel. I’m so pleased with how they turned out. It is real and it’s beautiful!

Pair of charmingly grumpy owls out on skates for winter fun. Have even brought along a snack! By Adriaen van de Venne, who died (alas!) on this day 1662.

Something I love: Doing visiting artist lectures/workshops etc. for colleges and talking to students.

Things I hate: Having to spend months begging and threatening institutions to pay the the pittance they said they would for this work.

I wrote a little about the Order of the Abundance Grace of the Cosmic Christ over on ig, and imagining a hopeful future and an anarchist christian commune of not-exactly-nuns that make up the bulk of the explorers in my book. I wish they were real.

Hey, I know we're all trying to weather an idiotic societal collapse, but do you want to preorder my new book or buy the original cover art drawing? I'm looking for another job(s?) but in the meantime I'm selling off originals to try to keep the lights on.
