Mostly because I don’t really see how probability of tokens isn’t also information on the same level as e being the most common letter etc. it’s all information? Just the machine is privileging differently to how we do when learning?

Glad to see Nigel Farage has finally remembered Nathan Gill, former leader of Reform in Wales - found guilty of taking bribes from Russia.

Maybe he'll now remember how much he took from Putin's propaganda broadcaster Russia Today for all his TV appearances when he was a MEP?

I sometimes think about that. Run as Reform. Given they do f all checks. Then defect. Instantly. Although being in SW London may not get elected. Flaw in plan. Oh and be suddenly sensibly outcast. Second flaw.

The first totalitarian regime I travelled through as a young man backpacking in the 90’s was Iran. I recall seeing the first building tall poster of the leader and thinking, ah, this is how you know it’s totalitarian. Video version of wannabe autocrats seems worse somehow.

Tom Haynes is a fool. All he had to do was not buy any avocados that week and he could have bought champagne at the pub (prices!) while paying off his mortgage and buying a second home in France (after studying in the Telegraph how to evade post-Brexit residency rules for Brits). I’m hoping the Greens grabbing vote share will be an anti-Farage on Labour. Tories shat themselves so hard at UKIP we ended up here. Maybe the Greens can do that to Labour…

LLM’s are changing everything. The old saying manners cost nothing? If you’re thanking your LLM and generally being polite with unnecessary dialogue (so, requests), it’s costing your subscription. Still. Better to be nice for when they decide who to put to sleep, sterilise, and who to keep as pets.

Yeah. Was unable to work through illness for nearly 2 years (genetic haemochromatosis) and then right when I felt ready to return to work (March) got Covid (again) and took me down for 5 wks. Current gov stopped boosters for me last year. Often wonder at the economic sense of it all. Short termism?

My teenager asked me a few weeks back, "Is Badenoch good? She's all over my feed saying how she is going to help young people."

An extensive list of why she is batshit followed.

But it showed how bad actors just constantly reinvent themselves on social media. Dangerous times.

I was in the supermarket earlier and overhead two teenagers talking as I looked for an item I wanted.

Teenager 1 (staring at phone) : They found out that vaccines cause autism. The first autism case happened after the baby was vaccinated.

Teenager 2 : That's not how it works.

Thank God. But wow.
