You know what Dr Who needs? Take a breath. Slow down. Do a yr of specials, each 1 a different Doctor. Slot in between other episodes but with new writers. 1 Tennant adventure, 1 Smith adventure, 1Capaldi adventure, 1 Whittaker, 1 McGann. One with new Doctor. Then follow with 5 episode single story.

In case you’re wondering why I haven’t posted any writing in a while… it’s because I haven’t done any.

Still one of the best films ever made. I could watch it repeatedly on a loop and never get bored.
Lee J. Cobb plays Juror 3, a hot-tempered owner of a courier business, the most passionate advocate of a 'guilty' verdict, in Sidney Lumet’s multi Academy Award nominated courtroom drama “12 ANGRY MEN” (1957)

Being in proud possession of a landscape by Graeme (not this one), I can attest to how amazing his painting always looks close up. If you can, buy this!
Thanks to everyone who has shared (or will share) this little landscape piece. Almost nine months since I had the time to do the last one so I'm glad people like it.
A new landscape painting to finish the year, this one is a scene from the top of a set of steps that lead down to a beach and in the distance is Ravenscraig Castle which is in Kirkcaldy, Fife. Image size is 18cm by 8cm but it is on a piece of paper approx 30cm by 20cm. The cost is £60 plus postage.

My former Unbound book ‘A Hundred Years to Arras’ is being re-released by Wilton Square on 9th April 2026. This so happens to be the 109th anniversary of the Battle of Arras, which is central to the story. It’s also being released in the US in August. Pre order!

Watched ‘After the Hunt’. An excellent skewering of the make-me-a-victim culture that absolutely blows it with an ending that brings in a backstory that adds nothing to the characters or the plot, and a coda that weasels out of the point it’s been making. #filmsky

So, now that #doctorwho is definitely returning, I’m calling out for the fellas behind Inside No.9 to take over as main writers and showrunners, along with a proper script editor.

I’m unreasonably irritated by Americans saying “tidbit” when the word is “titbit”. But then theirs is closer to the original, which makes it even more irritating. I said it was unreasonable.

Listening: IQ; trying to read the bookclub pick, Artemis.I’m struggling with a narrator who is a woman from Saudi Arabia sounding like an American man.Goliath’s Curse:it looks like we are all doomed, but it’s entirely natural. I’ve also been spending some time this week working on the sequel to COG.
