I wasn't expecting #PredatorBadlands to be better or to be totally honest even as good as Prey. 🫣 And while it definitely has got its moments (for example the buddy cop aspect of the story and Elle Fanning) I must say it did leave me with a bit of a lukewarm feeling in the end. 📽️🎞️

Even though I liked #Sisu I wasn't as head over heels in love with it as a lot of people seemed to be. And while fans of the first film will probably get a kick out of this as well #Si2u did leave me quite lukewarm in the end. #Sisu2 #SisuRoadToRevenge 📽️🎞️

🥞 First time using coconut milk for making crêpes (well, not entirely since it was about half and half with cream). And I don't know why but I wasn't actually expecting 'em to taste so fine. 🍽️

🌧️ Dark, completely bare ground and it's pissing down cats and dogs. 😐 Not to mention the state of country. 🇫🇮 So, please tell me how anyone is suppose to muster even an ounce of #Christmas spirit...?! 🫤

Released #OnThisDay 50 years ago. The first sequel to the French softcore erotic film that spawned the #Emmanuelle film series (6 theatrical releases, 7 made-for-TV movies and even a reboot last year) and multitude of knockoffs. #EmmanuelleLAntivierge #Emmanuelle2 #EmmanuelleTheJoysOfAWoman 📽️🎞️

🎲 Also released #OnThisDay 30 years ago. Undoubtedly one of the most beloved films of the 90s. Entertaining thrill ride adventure for the whole family to enjoy. #Jumanji 📽️🎞️

Released #OnThisDay 30 years ago. One of the greatest (if not THE GREATEST) crime films in cinema history. Michael Mann's magnum opus. #Heat 📽️🎞️

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

Since All in the Family was before my time Rob Reiner was always more of a director than an actor to me. And even though I don't particularly care for neither This Is Spinal Tap or The Princess Bride. 🫣 Stand by Me, Misery and esp. A Few Good Men are hard to top by many. 📺📽️🎞️ RIP 🪦

🏃‍♂️📺 #TheRunningMan is a surprisingly faithful adaptation of the Stephen King novel! 😲 Which is partly why I just couldn't warm up to this version despite the changes. 'Cos I didn't particularly care for the novel. And it's not like the lack of surprises helped either. 📽️🎞️

Don't think I had seen #UncleBuck since I was a kid, and while it wasn't as wall-to-wall laught out loud funny as I had remembered it being, it did still work better than most comedies. And I did laugh to one bit more than I've laughed in a LONG while. 📽️🎞️

📖 Maybe I would feel differently IF I had seen #ThePrincessBride as a kid/teen? 🤔 But I seriously don't get why this is so beloved by so many people. 😕 Genuinely felt like a bad fairy tale/swashbuckler spoof. 📽️🎞️

Released #OnThisDay 40 years ago. Murder mystery comedy based on the board game of the same name that has become a cult film over the years. #Clue 📽️🎞️

Even though I do ❤️ a good murder mystery, whether's it's in a book, TV series or film form, I've never really taken a shine to the #KnivesOut movies. And #WakeUpDeadMan is no exception. 📽️🎞️

🌍 Released #OnThisDay 40 years ago. Sequel to Romancing the Stone. Doubling the budget didn't double the fun though. Doesn't even match the first film in fact. Pales in almost every way, shape or form. #TheJewelOfTheNile 📽️🎞️

⚔️ I wouldn't necessarily call it "courageous" per se but the direction (for the worse!) that Highlander II: The Quickening took was certainly unexpected. 😐 And it doesn't really matter which cut we're talking about. Either backstory for the immortals is basically just as ridiculous. 📽️🎞️
What film sequels take their franchise in the most courageous and strikingly unexpected directions? ...
December 11, 2025 at 5:24 AM
🎶 NOT that I'd really need an excuse to watch #TheBluesBrothers, one of my all-time fav films, but since I learned last week that there's a DVD release with extra 18 mins (although I think even the original cut could've used some trimming) that felt like a good excuse as any to revisit the film. 📽️🎞️

ANY Lars von Trier film I've actually bothered to watch. 📽️🎞️
Never mind movies you’ve watched multiple times, name a movie you’ve watched once and would never watch again.

🎅🩸 #Santastein is definitely a choice if you don't care for watching more traditional #Christmas films during the holidays. But ONLY for die hard B-movie and/or slasher aficionados! 'Cos the poster falsely promises something that would actually be cool. Mostly ruined by piss poor acting though. 📽️🎞️

🎶 Film musicals have never been my cup of tea. And I probably wouldn't have given #WestSideStory remake a chance IF it hadn't been directed by Spielberg. But even he couldn't make this work for me. 📽️🎞️
