The late Dr. Jane Goodall with a wonderful posthumous message. Worth the few minutes! What a treasure.

Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

I am the first author of the revision you are referring to. It is the incorrect species released into SA, so not a 'reintroduction'. The work elevated subspecies to full specific status, which may be what caused the confusion.

The climate targets announced by @albomp.bsky.social are so weak - imagine if we all took this attitude to work! Shame on the government for once again letting down Australia #climate #targets

This comic was done in consultation with my partner Matt :)

“Achievable” as in weak!?

The PM @albomp.bsky.social has had a busy month so far, trying to convince the world he’s a climate champion when really he and Murray Watt are proving just how willing they are to sell Australia’s future for fossil fuel profits

Keep 👏 Them 👏 Inside 👏

Cats are deadly to native fauna. Of the now ~45 extinct mammalian taxa an estimated 27 are a result of cats.

Let me put that into perspective.

There are globally ~80 extinct mammals. Over half of the worlds extinct mammals are from Australia with the majority from cats!

This week we saw solutions announced in Western Australia to improve responsible pet cat ownership. Hannah Beazley MLA announced (1) an amendment to the Cat Act that will allow for local governments to prevent pet cats from roaming, & (2) a broader review of the Cat Act.

Anthony Albanese’s government are climate criminals and they’re consigning large parts of Australia to becoming uninhabitable. This is not just an environmental assault, it’s an assault on human rights.

It's a special #MammalMonday here on Paleontologizing! We'll be talkin' all about marsupials today, in celebration of a new paper just published by a longtime viewer on new species in the genus Bettongia (the bettongs!)

We might even do an interview 🎙

A case of mistaken identity has hampered efforts to save the woylie, one of Australia’s most endangered marsupials.

I just got some Emu chicks for the property. Meet Benedict and Florentine. Its so fun to watch the way they move and look for food in the grass. These guys really are dinosaurs.
