Kay, a 45 year-old single mother, learns that she has magical abilities, and also that the recent murders are actually killer vampires. Life suddenly got a lot more complicated. Because killer vampires don't mean you don't still have to do the laundry.

Heh. I'm 4'9" and ended up (twice!) with 6'3" guys. I'm not deliberately looking for Tall Men, but it's very nice to have someone nearby who can reach things off the top shelf. 😁

We must look very silly together when we're out.

My husband got me one of these, and because I'm under 5 feet tall (yes, really), it goes down to my ankles. It's a MARVEL. I'm instantly warmer as soon as I put it on. I got one for him, as well, but he's over 6 feet tall, so his only goes to his hips.

I just put mine on and the relief is intense.
A sales photo of a young white woman with blond hair wearing an oversized (to her lower calves) fleece hoodie in red. It looks soft and plush. She is also wearing white ankle socks with blue stripes at the toe and cuff.

I can tell that winter is approaching, because suddenly I'm *cold* all the damn time. It's time to find my thick socks and the over-the-shoulder heater, because this is miserable. Being cold like this just ends with a headache and whining.

Ah yes, the [name of company here] and [what kind of debt would this be?] sort of edits.

Unrelatedly, I love your nails.

(My 20 pound chonk of a Standard Issue Cat also has a high-pitched chirpy meow and it's adorable.)

I see Willow has you pinned - good for her. Now you need to cough up the Good Treats! (pea snacks, chopped strawberries)

When you edit, what are you looking for? SPaG or are you doing the re-writing sort of editing?

I know it's wrong, but for some reason I find this to be hysterically funny. Who needs to tell someone about the tasty berries over there, when we could be dishing dirt about Ooga's terrible taste in furs to wear!?

Every so often, I'll go into the bedroom and find several mice on the bed. Occasionally, a banana.

I have no idea why the cats think I should be sleeping with rodents or squishy fruits, but I guess I'm glad they're having fun.

i am struggling so i’m putting out the call!

i need examples of graphic novellas under/around 100 pages published in the last 2-3 years. preferably memoirs or at least telling a story (not just educational guides etc).

Sometimes I'll see a flurry of posts go by about something all at once. None of the posts name anyone/anything specific. It's clear something truly upsetting has happened.

It feels like a storm just over the horizon, a violent event spilling out into a street I'm just driving past.

That u wants to float around and go everywhere!

My fav recipe is:

2 c flour
1 Tbs baking powder
1/3 c oil
2/3 c milk

Mix dry, add wet. Knead ~10 times, form into 6x6 square, cut into smaller squares. Bake at 425°F for ~15 mins, until golden.

Fill with butter and eat them all.

Huh. That argument/discussion in the article could be used to support UBI. He's not sure what humans will do without "(fake) jobs", but he's sure humans will find something.

Yes, absolutely. Give us UBI, and we'll create art and science that is fulfilling and amazing, in the best ways.

Why is 'biscuit' so hard to spell!? I love to eat them and can't spell them the first time! Ugh.

Happy Columbo’s Day
Screenshot from Columbo. He his talking to his dog, which is sitting is the drivers seat of a car. “Okay, I’m gonna put you in charge. You take care of the car. You’re a responsible dog. When I get back, if the car’s okay, I’ll give you another cookie.” “If the car’s gone,” “I’ll give you another cookie anyway” “because I love you.”

Okay, I've figured out names for the main characters of the second set of books and I've got the first chapter blocked out.

Fleshing out the other books' characters will be more work, I think.

I mean. A dungeon under there sounds reasonable. I'd believe just about anything from this administration.

I'm trying to write. In one story I need to do more character work, because one mc is only a cardboard cut out. In a second story, I've got the characters down, but none have names.

Ugh.

I think there's a way to see who's blocked you; maybe you'll recognize their handle.

He should totally have a tiny personal bowl of ramen.

Oh nooo. I'll go look up what the changes are.

This sort of thing is part of why I'm doing my own narration, tbh. I'll have to also do my own marketing, but being tied to 'zon isn't great.

I see Willow has finally decided to go looking for her snacks on her own!

I am tired. I mis-read this as 'thieving regurgitation' and I thought, why on earth would I *steal* vomit. I can just wait for one of my cats to over-eat.

I need a nap.
