Well, we had one week of the 2026 filing season without drama. Now, however, we again have a partial government shutdown. @joebwan.bsky.social @eidebailly.bsky.social roundup reports the IRS contingency plan says it can operate in full for 5 days.🤞🏼that's enough time to get funding done.

IRS' digital conversion is about to get painfully real. @joebwan.bsky.social @eidebailly.bsky.social roundup item notes returns without bank info will be accepted, but IRS will request bank details. If it doesn't get it within 30 days, IRS will issue a paper check about 6 weeks later.
