Former DHS Chief of Staff: This admin continues to say they have seen no instances of ICE agents operating against DHS policy. They are lying through their teeth. We have daily documentation of ICE officers not just violating DHS policy, but violating the law and the Constitution.

No more “When they go low, we go high” shit. The fucking high road is NOT WORKING. It’s time to vote in Low Road Dems that will do what needs to be done, hell hath no fury style.

No more Tolerant Left. Put tolerance in the back burner. We are up against Nazi’s.

I give Republicans credit for flexing power when they have it - clearly for all horrible reasons but they do what they want and are bold (and reckless) and unapologetic.

Compare this to the Democratic Establishment and it's utter timidity, weakness, sloth and fecklessness.

What's their excuse?

Is it a good idea to host a major event like the FIFA World Cup in a country whose secret state police hunt down innocent people, lock them in cages, or execute them in the street?

Democratic Governors need to activate the National Guard to protect their communities. Local cops now realize that they're overwhelmed by the same violent forces they initially supported.

Of course, Trump will respond with escalation, but this is no longer, nor has been, sustainable.

Republicans are complicit with fascism.

However, any Democrat willing to support and fund ICE must answer why they are fine with enabling a rogue agency that murders Americans and terrorizes communities.

Confront them and ask them to defend it.

Why will the fund DHS? Why won't they abolish ICE?

I wrote all of this up (including how we got to this point doctrinally) in a recent issue of my newsletter. Here's the non-paywalled version:

Bonus 182: Damages as a (Missing) Deterrent
It's worth reflecting on how different things might look right now if federal officers—or the federal government itself—faced a meaningful specter of monetary liability for constitutional violations.

It would take a two-word amendment to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 to subject ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers to the same liability for constitutional violations that local and state officers currently face.

If Congress actually cared about what it's seeing, it could pass that overnight.

If there are any principled Republicans (is that still a thing? Asking for a friend) in Congress, they could end all this if only a couple of them would retire now. This will turn the House back to the Dems and we could start holding Trump in check.

Trump says Greenland should take a deal he admits he hasn’t offered, makes it clear he does not care if attacking Greenland ends NATO.

Again: ending NATO is a Putin goal. That is no coincidence.

He has taken so much from us.

So much of our time, our energy, our mental health.

One day he will go inshallah.

Until then we resist him and organize and fight back.
