Seriously, the amount of ads and pop ups on most sites now make the internet practically unusable. I try to read an article on the vast majority of sites and it’s constantly interrupted by pop up ads that don’t just obscure, but readjust the whole window, so the writing moves around.

Absolutely. I’ve all but given up being able to survive as a creative anymore, I’ll just tick over releasing things slowly and just getting things out when I can. Perhaps I’ll pull a Van Gogh and be appreciated after I’m dead lol. Though I doubt even that with the current trajectory

Yeah, any time I do a social media post about my book I start getting them. In fact, last night I randomly got the same email from the same person 4 times, despite blocking each one and reporting it as spam

I mean, that’s a little presumptuous of you, but I’ll leave it there. I have NO budget. I was asking for hints on tips on what I can do without having to fork out money for services. If I wanted things to spend money on I’d have asked for suggestions of services I could use.

I certainly did a press release when the books came out and sent it everywhere, to all sorts of outlets local and above. Not a single one ran a story. But I suppose worth trying again from another angle
