Looking across recent policy announcements I think government is sending a clear signal on desired goals without being prescriptive.

Places can improve outcomes by joining these policy dots & working in a whole-system way. Big moment for us all.

This sport. These fans. This generational talent. Magic.

Love this! Brian Smith said today 'well he won't win the British National Champs' 🤣

I've gone past the dull bit tbh. I'm now fully on board record hunting. Feels more than generational now. And he'll exit in a max of three years

Wild. A grand tour rider on one-day racer turf. And now five-in-a-row in this race. A ridiculous athlete.

After a long pause, I've just done another England Covid & NHS update as we head into the autumn/winter season.

TLDR: we're in a significant Covid wave now, the NHS is stretched, get boosted if you're eligible.

In a sense I think the whole thing made me want to thank them all more. Then provide hugs through gratitude and guilt.

Thought the amateur to pro shift that (with hindsight) accelerated issues was very revealing. Seeing decisions with today's eyes was tough. But, boy, so many needed so much support that clearly wasn't available.

Ours was used but only has helpful rigging for theatre sets.

"It would be easier to take a cab. I know I'm privileged, but it's more of a revindication. We need greener cities, with fewer cars...With sustainability comes empathy and compassion. These are all traits that you get when you decide to take care of the place that gives you life."

It's well worth a watch. Individual stories from a range of players and their own risk profiles; advancements in understanding over time; the tradeoffs; the shift from amateur to professional era.

Agree entirely. Really sad news. Have you seen Unbreakable England 2003? I don't know enough about causation between injuries and conditions but the sections in that doc about him really did strike a chord.

"If El Mordjene was in short supply before, now it became mythically scarce. Prices climbed to twenty, even thirty euros a jar. I scared one up on Vinted, a Lithuanian resale site, transferring forty euros to an Algerian woman living in France, who had just been home for her grandfather’s funeral."
How a Hazelnut Spread Became a Sticking Point in Franco-Algerian Relations
The wildly popular Nutella competitor El Mordjene has been banned by the European Union, a move some see as politically motivated.
