It appears ICE murdered someone in cold blood today and their plan is — per usual — to create a fog of lies so the killer does not face justice. We simply can't let that happen. The shooter has to be arrested and so does Bovino. They can't just kill people on the street.

Which is, as I know you already know, a classic authoritarian move designed to create willing “law” enforcement that are ignorant of the law, and guarantees conflict that continues to turn up the temperature, leading to the opportunity for ever expanding and intense crackdowns on protest and dissent

So, this is autocratic breakthrough, no? If he can fund his preferred programs and bypass congress’ power of the purse, what’s to stop him from invading more places, finding more funding, and just never signing another budget again?
If Trump is really stealing spending power from Congress then it would be insanity for Democrats to vote to fund the government later this month. Shut it down until the president stops wiping his ass with the Constitution.

How can you know what the definition of normal is if you have nothing to compare it to? Normal should be the laws were governed by, at minimum

If both sides abandon the law, then what is left to argue over? There needs to be some standard to compare against that isn’t just “that’s unfair“ which doesn’t carry a whole lot of weight or legitimacy.
