How might things have gone differently in the wider world, had Dr Stuart Jones (BNC) and/or Mr L R Price (Oriel) been more eloquent and persuasive at Congregation?

Ditto.

In the PPE programme we set up at York in the 80s, to drop a subject you had to transfer to one of the related bipartite programmes e.g. Ec/Phil. So anyone graduating in PPE had studied all three.
We also had a core of explicitly interdisciplinary modules, which Oxford conspicuously lacked.

In any given ‘paper’ (module), your course of study was guided by your tutor, in ignorance of what questions would be set in the exam, and independently of whatever programme of relevant lectures may or may not have been available, also independently of the exam.
Not sure whether still the case.

Located near Keld, Wainwath Falls is a wide, scenic waterfall on the River Swale. Though modest in height (just 1.5–3 metres), its charm lies in its tranquil setting beneath the limestone cliffs of Cotterby Scar.
