Disappointing that the #Cubs could not retain Brad Keller. Huge part of 2025 success. This is one reliever I would have kept.
Don’t fret, I’m sure all these speculative blog posts hunting for threads to tie the Cubs to *any* free agent will yield positive results soon.

The Colts are planning to bring potential Hall of Fame QB Philip Rivers into their facility Tuesday to work out to see if he may join their practice squad, per me & Mike Garafolo.
This is real. Daniel Jones’ season is over, Riley Leonard will start, but Rivers may be an option.

Add Steichen to the hit list too, after an over aggressive 4 and 1 at their 47.
Team hasn’t been good in several years. Has spiraled toward the end in all. Got to have a culture that doesn’t encourage this. Blow it up, start over.

Truly all about the QB. That injury looks bad for an already-hobbled Jones.
I’m glad we found out that AR5 is a giant bust, but today is why his idiotic injury was so critical.

Brandon Nimmo waived his no-trade clause for a deal to Texas.
So I guess it would indeed be possible, #Cubs media, for the team to attempt to trade players with NTCs. It is not a “no ask clause” as we were led to believe.
